What Bobos is, what the Bobodex is for, and what to do in your first ten minutes.
A cartoon bear living on Solana, from a world called Bobylon. Each one is built on the Metaplex Core standard and has a set of immutable traits it keeps forever, plus items it can equip and swap. Bobos are meant to be characters you interact with, not just pictures you hold.
It is the place every Bobo function actually happens: browse the collection, manage your own, see rarity, swap tokens, and talk to other holders. Most collections give you a gallery and a Discord.
We would rather give you one application where the collection is something you use, so the work of owning a Bobo has somewhere to live. We are building it in the open, one surface at a time.
No. Browsing the collection, the rarity index, and the item index is open to anyone. Holding a Bobo is what unlocks the parts that are about your Bobo: profiles, personas, the social feed, and earning XP.
On the secondary market. The current collection trades on Magic Eden, and the in-app Marketplace aggregates those listings so you can browse them with full rarity data attached. There is no mint open right now.
How ranking is calculated, why it moves, and where the money goes.
Two halves added together. Your immutable traits produce a Base Rarity Score, worked out from what percentage of the collection shares each of them, and the items you equip add points on top. Matching item sets add a further bonus, so what you choose to wear is a real decision.
No, and that is the whole idea. Rarity here is percentage based, so it responds to what actually exists rather than sitting at a number someone assigned you.
Both halves move. As Bobos are burned and leave the supply for good, the traits they were carrying get rarer and every percentage adapts. Items move too, since an item is only as rare as the number of them in circulation. A Bobo that is rare this month can be passed next month by someone who collected better.
The competitive layer built on top of that moving rarity: seasons where the highest-ranked Bobos earn a share of a prize pool. The mechanics are covered properly in the litepaper. It is not running yet.
When items are sold to fund a Rarity Farming season, 60% of the revenue returns to the community. That 60% is not a separate bucket from the two below it: it is made of them.
The remaining 40% funds building the thing you are using: development, art, infrastructure, and the events themselves. A collection that only earns on the primary sale has no reason to keep building after it.
None of this is running yet. It starts with the first Rarity Farming season, after the remint.
The two things people ask about most, plus what is coming in what order.
A one-for-one burn and remint: your current Bobo is burned and its 2.0 version is minted in its place with the exact same traits. Nothing is rerolled and nothing is swapped out, so what you own now is what you own after.
What does change is your items: each one is minted as its own asset and lives in your Bobo's Pocket, instead of being baked into the picture. That is what makes them equippable, swappable, and worth collecting.
It runs through a Burn & Remint portal we will open once the remint contracts are ready, and we will walk you through it when it exists. Nothing is required of you before then.
The old $BOW is a dead token, and nothing you do with it will bring it back. We are not pretending otherwise. A new $BOW will launch later as the utility token of the ecosystem, on a permanent bonding curve, and it will be a fresh token rather than a revival of the old one. If you see anything claiming to be the new $BOW today, it is not ours.
Utility inside the ecosystem rather than speculation on the collection: item drops, naming, marketplace activity, and the sinks that come with them. It launches on a permanent bonding curve for price stability. It has not launched yet, and we will announce it in one place before anywhere else. Anything claiming to be $BOW today is not ours.
Yes, and it has not happened yet. It will be announced ahead of time so nobody has to watch a chat around the clock to catch it, and Bobo holders get priority.
Allocation scales with how many Bobos you hold: the more you own, the more you can buy when the presale opens. Nothing is open right now, there is no list to join and no address to send anything to, so treat any "early access" offer you see before our announcement as a scam.
No. Governance is one Bobo, one vote, permanently. Tokens do not buy votes and neither does rarity, so a whale and a first-time holder have exactly the same weight per Bobo.
No dates. We would rather tell you the order and the dependencies than give you a date we might miss. Each of these needs the one above it.
What you are in. We open surfaces one at a time and fix what you report before adding more.
A one-for-one burn and remint through a portal we open when the contracts are ready: your old Bobo is burned and reminted with the exact same traits, nothing rerolled. Your items become their own assets, held in the Bobo's Pocket.
Equippable items that change your art and your ranking, with matching sets worth more together.
The competitive layer switches on: seasons, leaderboards, and payouts to the highest-ranked Bobos.
A new utility token on a permanent bonding curve, for item drops, naming, and the rest of the economy. Not the old $BOW, which is dead.
Proposals, quorum, and a treasury that only moves when holders vote it. One Bobo, one vote.
Not yet. The litepaper is what exists today, and it is deliberately narrower than a whitepaper: how Rarity Farming works, the mechanics of the remint collection, some Bobylon lore, the KingdomDAO, and the $BOW token.
The Whitepaper is the full plan, and it releases after the remint, once everything we have in store is mapped out. Writing it before then would mean publishing guesses.
Signing in, personas, linked wallets, and the things that look broken but are not.
A message, not a transaction. It proves you control the wallet and it cannot move, approve, or spend anything. Hardware wallets that cannot sign messages sign a throwaway memo transaction instead, which we verify locally and never broadcast.
Usually one of three things: they are in a different wallet, they are staked, or they were already burned and are waiting on the remint. All three are handled.
Check the wallet in the top-right first. If you use more than one, link them on your Account page so everything appears together. If they still do not appear, report it and we will look at your specific wallet.
That is your active persona. Switch it from the persona dropdown in your wallet card, and the change applies everywhere immediately.
It is probably not open yet rather than broken. The beta status line at the top of this page lists exactly what is open right now, and the rest arrives one at a time. If a page is missing from that list, it is unfinished, not hidden from you specifically.
Reload the page first. If it persists, disconnect your wallet and reconnect, which re-runs the checks that decide what you can see. If it still persists, it is a real bug and we want it.
Every report lands in a queue a human reads. Here is how, and what happens after.
You do not need to be technical to be useful: "this button did nothing" is a good report.
What happens after you send it
The in-app form needs a connected wallet, because it attaches your report to your account so we can reply to you. If you are just browsing, or the thing that broke is the wallet connection itself, Discord is the way in.
Report it in DiscordA screenshot and the page URL is all we need.
Possibly not. Bobodex is in beta, and the status line at the top of this page shows exactly what is finished. If a surface is not in the open list, it is not ready yet rather than broken. If it is in that list and it misbehaved, please report it.
Rules with no exceptions, so you can use them as a test rather than a guideline.
Never, under any circumstance. We will never:
Anyone doing any of these is not us, whatever their name, avatar, or role colour says.
Our links only come from this page
Every real link we have is under Reference below. If you found it anywhere else, treat it as fake until it matches one here.
There is one Discord
Ours is https://discord.gg/bobos. Servers with similar names are not ours, no matter how many members they show.
Team accounts are verifiable
The Team page lists who works on Bobos with their accounts cryptographically verified, so you can check an account against it.
Signing in never moves anything
Our sign-in is a message signature. If a page asks you to approve a transaction to log in, close it.
The vocabulary nobody arrives knowing, and every real link we have.
If a link is not on this page, be careful: it is not ours.
